Our narrator comes under a variety of names as the book progresses: I’ll pick Tanya to describe her. She finds her husband dead in her house and, believing that she would be blamed, flees changing her identity to avoid detection. This may not be the first time. This leads to a whole series of misadventures as she joins forces with Debra, a barmaid, who also may have a chequered past.
Quite well-paced and engaging, this makes an interesting read. It’s an fascinating tale of how to live off the grid.
