This volume kicks off with the freshman hunt of the rats in the school for assassins. The body count is high and the action is gory as Marcus and his “friends” fight for survival. One long running battle takes place with betrayal and double-crossing figuring highly.
To be honest, all the bloodshed gets a bit boring after a while and I was tempted to abandon this halfway through. It just gets more and more grisly and the ending would perhaps suggest that this is the last in the series. Disappointing.
