Fantasy stories based on Shakespeare’s plays

Monstrous Little Voices: New Tales Shakespeare's Fantasy World - Adrian Tchaikovsky, Kate Heartfield, Foz Meadows, Emma Newman, Jonathan Barnes

These five stories by different authors have their roots in Shakespeare’s plays and play upon the fantasy elements to be found in these works.

The first story takes place immediately after the Tempest and sees Ariel helping Miranda with the consequences of her marriage to Ferdinand.

The following stories unites elements of a Midsummer’s Night Dream with Twelfth Night with a bit of Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth thrown in. As the storyline progresses, characters from As You Like It and Much Ado About Nothing join in.

All are written in literary style, include the odd quotes from the original plays.

A bit of fun and quite a good read.
